Bagadiu - Fradiles

Features:

The originality of the territory of Mandrolisai is expressed here with the characteristics that its vineyards take, especially Bovale, very old grape variety known locally as Muristellu. Bovale, vinified alone, Bagadiu (Sardinian bachelor), shows its firm but not hard character, tangy and enriched with notes of red fruits and Mediterranean.

Bagadiu is a 100% Bovale, obtained from the vineyards of Mandrolisai, near Atzara. A Sardinian red wine like this is to accompany to a semi-mature pecorino sardo cheese, a slice of sausage - traditional Marmilla recipe - or a salted ricotta cheese.

Planted on soils from granite weathering placed at about 500 m / above sea level, medium-textured / sandy bred to tree with a planting density of 6,000 vines per hectare

Harvest

From the second half of October

Production

60 q per 42 hectoliters of wine to be refined

Vinification

Maceration of the grapes, de-stemmed and crushed, lasted for 15 days in steel vats with control temperature, followed by various racking up during the aging period

Aging

In oak barrels of 700 liters and 500 liters for at least 6 months

Matching

As an accompaniment to cold meats and savory meats or mature and important cheeses

Color

A wine of character and complex, intense ruby ​​red color

Bouquet

Spacious with hints of wild berries combined with hints of spice and weeds
