The Gueffus will be shipped three days after the order, the time required to achieve them.

Gueffus - Sardelizia - Sardinian typical cookies

The Gueffus consist of diced almond paste from rounded past in granulated sugar and wrapped in tissue paper as a caramel (papperi 'e seda). The prevailing fashion round the cookie is the origin of its name: Gueffus. Resulting from the Spanish huevo (egg).

Gueffus - Sardelizia - Italian best products

Sweets approachable to Gueffus are Pastiglias of Iglesias and Sospiri of Ozieri.

A Quartu St. Elena there are two types of Gueffus: round ones, defined in urioni (Arbutus shape), and the rectangular covered by a sheath of dough cortza, called gueffus finis, reserved for ceremonial occasions. The Gueffus therefore fall into the category of sweets of particular value, along with candelaus prenusu of St. Elena.
