Description

Caschettes - Inke - Sardinian food on sale

Stuffed sweet whose outer surface consists of a thin strip of violada dough (well kneaded with lard), semolina, cut with wheels variously jagged edges, stuffed with a filling of honey and hazelnuts, flavored with grated orange peel . The feature is caschettas is the thickness of the dough almost impalpable, translucent, who once cooked assumes a crunchy texture.


Caschettes - Inke - Traditional Sardinian sweet

In the past they were the sweets offered to the bride groom, hence the term "sweet Bride" with reference to is caschettas.
