The grapes come mainly from a vineyard in Santu Millanu, and are cultivated with low spurred cordon, with Simonit and Sirch pruning system, not irrigated, at an altitude of 380 meters above sea level.
A gentle slope of about 2 hectares, exposed to the south-east particularly rich in limestone and with an excellent visible skeleton: almost a stony ground, difficult to work but with good draining capacity. The yield of this vineyard is 50-60 quintals per hectare.
Once the grapes have reached the correct ripeness, they are harvested by hand in 15-20 kg boxes, generally during the last week of September.
The fermentation, at a controlled temperature, takes place in 50-hl Slavonian oak conical vats and the maceration lasts about 12 days, during which repeated punching takes place.
Lun stop for about a year in steel to maintain unaltered some characteristics of youth of wine. It is bottled then about a year after the harvest. Its ability to evolve is a few years, but immediately the wine is ready to be pleasantly tasted and consumed.
Lun IGT Isola dei Nuraghi presents an intense ruby color with violet reflections. The bouquet is intense, with particular appeals of caper, anchovies and sweet spices. The taste is elegant, with well-expressed tannins, abundant, but balanced and pleasant, well balanced by an excellent acid structure that makes the wine crisp and alive.
Depending on the vintage, 7 to 9 thousand bottles are produced.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18 ° C.
