Vermentino has been implanted in Gallura in the last decades of the 800, in a dry land and not suitable for the most common agricultural crops, beaten by the tremendous mistral. But precisely in this environment has found a perfect terroir to give wines with good personality and structure, thanks to the particular shape of the land, which has a natural granite substrate, poor and thin.

100% Vermentino polyclonal vineyards

Zone of production

Agro of San Leonardo in Luras, Calangianus, producing 60-70 quintals per hectare

Soil

Granite of limited depth, rich in skeleton consisting of coarse granite weathering sand, loose, acidic, nutrient-poor, very low water retention

Climate

Mediterranean, average rainfall in spring and autumn, long summers, hot and windy

Harvest

Traditional, by hand

Vinification

In white, after a few hours of maceration

Ripening

9 months in cellar

Straw yellow, light golden hues, bright

Bouquet

Large and complex, strong recall to the Mediterranean scrub whose mantains the scent of its herbs, typical of this area

Taste

Rich, thanks to all of its taste sensations - olfactory present, including mineral flavor, typical of granitic soil from which it was born. All for a very long ending

Matching

It is enhanced with all the seafood. Even with the most elaborate courses, perfect with the local mullet roe

Alcohol
