Alongside the native cultivars, Vermentino, Cannonau, Moscato, Pascale, Caricagiola, members of the Cellar "Gallura" grow "Nebbiolo", the latter imported grape from Piedmont in 1700 from the vinification of these grapes you get three quality wines, Karana, Dolmen and the new Luna Nova, which soon imposed themselves to the attention of the public and the critics.
Wild and charming constellate with granite boulders shaped by the wind, from the trunks of towering cork, white sands and crystal clear waters that fade from the deep blue to emerald green, Gallura find the roots of its name in the rooster emblem of the Visconti of Pisa, first lords of Judicature. The same cock that from 1956 identifies the wines of Cantina Gallura.
A Tempio, at the foot of the Limbara, the winery has collected if the age-old tradition of wine-growers of high Gallura, already known in the nineteenth century beyond the borders of the islanders to produce a muscat of excellence.
The rigorous selection systems, the modern processes of vinification and aging in barrels or in barriques, give rise to wines of high quality organoleptic characteristics in tune with the changing tastes and needs of consumers.
The flagship of the winery is "Vermentino di Gallura," only wine in Sardinia to be awarded, since 1996, of the aspired Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin. The five types Canayli products and Genesis (in the Superior type), Piras, Gemellae and Mavriana, all of excellent quality, are the result of the most advanced technologies: wines that have won many prizes and awards at national and international levels.
