Lillové, Cannonau di Sardegna Doc - Gabbas - Sardinian wine

History and feautures:

Lillové is born in Barbagia, in the heart of Sardinia, an area of great radiance that promotes optimal ripening of the grapes. The soils of medium texture, granitic, remain quite cool even in the driest summers.

The dry and windy climate keep vineyards generally healthy, minimizing interventions in defense of the screws. A low number of buds per plant limit the production of grape, enhancing the quality. Lillové, made from grapes cannonau with small additions of other native red grapes, takes its name from the location of the vineyard.

Preferably together with red meats and mature cheeses. Serve at 18 ° C

Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, Sardinian red wine. Cannonau is the most cultivated vine in the world. It owes its expansion to being rustic, resistant to drought and able to give strong alcohol wines. For a long time it was considered to be originating in Aragon. The analysis of the documents, however, seem to accredit the thesis of the island origin.
