Description

Sein - Res Dimidia - Sardinian food on sale

The originality of our Sein comes from the vinification of the grapes Cagnulari slightly harvested overripe from vineyards in the best areas of our island.

Cagnulari, vinified alone, shows its strong and spicy taste, enriched with notes of red fruits and softened by long aging in small barrels.

Planted on soils of limestone seats about 250 m / above sea level, medium-textured, raised to cordon, with a density of 5,500 plants / ha

Harvest

Second week of october

Production

Q 60 to 42 liters 

Vinification

Maceration of the pressed grapes continued for 8-10 days in steel vats with controlled temperature, followed by various racking up til the aging period

Aging

In small oak barrels of 225 liters for at least 18 months

Matching

As an accompaniment with meat courses and important or mature cheeses

Characteristics

A wine of character, complex, soft ruby red color and a typical spicy aroma, with broad hints of wild berries combined with known weeds found in the palate, warm, tasty and balanced
