Another classic in the tradition of the island. A golden disk thin, rough and delicate semolina bread. Delicious alone, with olive oil or frattau bread, a typical Sardinian course: dunk the discs in the beef broth, bring directly into the pot each one on the top of each other, with tomato sauce and grated cheese in the middle. Then a poached egg on the top and enjoy!

the Bread Carasau is a kind of typical Sardinian bread also called music paper or music paper, for the sound that produces its crunchiness during chewing. Its curious name comes from the verb carasare indicating the final roasting which gives the bread its unique crunchiness. Crisp and fine, is produced with a few simple ingredients: yeast, water, salt and wheat flour. Despite this apparent simplicity of its preparation it is not easy and, although made with few ingredients, there are many different variants scattered all over Sardinia. The bread 'fressa of Ovodda, such as that of Austis and that produced in Tiana are particularly famous for its fineness. Although there are some recipes that you can follow, prepare the bread Carasau at home is not easy, partly because of the particular length of preparation. Enjoy this bread, however, it is not difficult because it is now widespread and marketed throughout Italy.
