The Social Cooperative Oil Mill Seneghe was formed in 1956 by 48 local growers, who decided to join in order to directly treat the whole production process of the olive. Today, the cooperative has 360 members, representing 98% of Seneghe growers, who grow about 60 000 plants on an area of 4.50 square kilometers.

After a little more than half a century, the oil mill Social Seneghe, with today's modern and rational system made entirely of stainless steel, it produces high quality oil in the tradition of the oldest.

The particular morphology of Seneghe, its hills located at 300-350 meters above sea level and a few kilometers from the sea, the excellent quality of the olive trees, are the main factors that contribute to the production of an oil with extraordinary qualities.

The olives are harvested in the fall at color, straight from the plant either by hand or with mechanical shakers.

The transport takes place in the mill during the day with crates that allow proper ventilation of the olives, and the grinding is carried out immediately or at most within 12-16 hours after arrival at the mill, and after a thorough check on the quality and health of drupes.

The storage of the oil takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks and controlled atmosphere.
