Urùlu, Cannonau - Cantine di Orgosolo - Buy online Sardinain wine

Urulu ages in oak barrels for 9 months, then bottled for 3 months.

The period of the harvest varies slightly depending on the season and in any case it is between the 3rd week of September and the 1st of October.

The grapes are naturally harvested by hand and, in the space of a few hours, they are processed in the cellar with the help of handcrafted tools and equipment and subjected to a gentle treatment, aimed at obtaining high quality wines. All processes, including bottling, are taken care of directly by the members.

Urùlu is a resort that is 4 km from the town of Orgosolo characterized by a promontory, overlooking the valley of Locoe (area vocated and historically cultivated with vines), about 800 m.s.l.m. on which there is a nuragic sanctuary. Here we find interesting and original Nuraghic finds (1900 years BC) and post-nuragic works, among them some bronze plates, whose function, according to expert archaeologists, was that of "ante litteram" taste-vin.

The blend used for the production of Urùlu is as follows: almost 100% Cannonau. This is an autochthonous vine, as has been proven by recent studies carried out by authoritative researchers. The period of the harvest varies slightly depending on the season and in any case it is between the 3rd week of September and the 1st of October. The grapes are harvested by hand and within a few hours worked in the cellar with the help of tools and equipment crafted and subjected to a soft treatment, which aims at obtaining high quality wines.

It can be kept in the bottle and allow its further refinement over a period of 3 years; the conservation (under the right conditions) of its qualities lasts for several years. All the processing of the product, including bottling, is taken care of directly by the members.

Grapes: 95% Cannonau, 2% Carignano, 2% Bovale, 1% Other
