Agricola Punica, one of the most renowned names in the world of wine production, is a joint venture between Dr. Sebastiano Rosa, winery of Santadi, Tenuta San Guido, Antonello Pilloni, president of Santadi and the legendary Tuscan winemaker Giacomo Tachis.
Sebastiano Rosa, winemaker of Tenuta San Guido, and the cellar of Santadi hold the majority share, ie 40% each.
Tenuta San Guido, under the direction of the Marquis Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta, holds 10%, while Giacomo Tachis and Antonello Pilloni, president of Santadi, hold equally the remaining 10%.
There are many links between these characters. In collaboration with Mario Incisa della Rocchetta and his son Nicolò, Tachis was crucial in the development of wine Sassicaia, the resounding "super Tuscan" product at the Tenuta San Guido since 1968.
Tachis continues to work together as a consultant winemaker along with Sebastiano Rosa.
Since his first visit to Sardinia, Tachis immediately realized the potential of wine production in the island.
