Dule Canonau classico - Gabbas - Cannonau di Sardegna

Features:

Made from a careful selection of grapes from Cannonau vines, more than forty years old in the homonymous vineyard Dule. A small number of buds per plant and targeted interventions of green harvest in August favor an optimal concentration of aromatic and polyphenolic, enhancing its quality.

For almost three centuries Cannonau has been the most important red wine of Sardinia, the only really known outside the island. In each area the wine is different because different are the microclimates and farming systems adopted. In Nuoro, for example, the most common system for teh Cannonau is the tree and the yields are very low, a guarantee of quality wine.

After fermentation on the skins, which last for 20-25 days, it ages in French oak barrels for twelve months; then the bottle aging follows for another ten to twelve months, to better express the bouquet of the territory. Full bodied and fruit wine that goes well with red and saucy meat dishes. Serve at 18 ° C.
