Taste: articulated to the taste, moderately sweet and fresh, almost liqueur, it closes with the persistence of bitter almond.
Curiosity
It is the year that marked the last winemaking of Silvio Carta, in the historic location in via Dante in Baratile San Pietro. But also the year of the last harvest carried out in three moments. The first harvest, dedicated to the ripest and healthiest grapes. The second, after 10-15 days from the first, reserved for the more sugary bunches, reinvigorated by a lightened vine, therefore naturally more lavish. Finally, the third and final harvest of the grapes destined for the production of San Martino wine, the lightest and most ready to drink. This was the custom for the harvest of Vernaccia grapes, until then. It was 1968. In 1968, I was only 17 years old, enrolled in the Oenological School of Conegliano, forged by the passage of life away from my home, spurred on by those who have always been my example and my strength, Silvio and Anna Maria, my father and my mother, who with their sacrifices have allowed me to study and open up to the world, never neglecting the value of fatigue, the value of the earth.
