In 2005 Barrosu earns the DOC denomination and bottled the entire production of 4000 bottles. In 2006 he decided to buy a 45 years vineyard and secure the production of 6000 bottles of which 1,000 are Reserve. In 2009, given the abundant vintage decides to make a new label; a limited edition, 600 bottles, totally organic like the rest of the production. The vineyards just under 2 acres are manufactured by Giovanni with traditional methods. 

The company was founded about 20 years ago after Giovanni, a mechanic of Mamoiada, inherits an old vineyard belonging to the mother-in-law, and so began a passion for wine, and for the first floor almost entirely absent. Proud of the vineyard, Giovanni, with the help of two old experts winemakers get to know all the secrets of getting passionate vineyard every day. After several years of selling bulk wine matures many experiences that led him to participate in various contests wine farmers, gaining always the first price. But his dream has always been to provide a regular bottle with a label that could travel all over the world. So after several attempts in the winery decided in 2004 to makes 700 bottles for friends. Numbered and filled one by one without the addition of any foreign substance to the wine.

The oldest vineyard are still plowed with oxen, the yield remains constant each year, allowing the wine to have a very focused and high alcohol content.
