Wild fennel Liqueur made by Distillerie Lussurgesi in Santu Lussurgiu (Sardinia).

Anima Sarda liqueurs are born from a deep passion for the craft traditions of this unique land. The use of pure raw materials and excellent quality: the water is from the San Leonardo mountain source, just outside the municipality of Santu Lussurgiu and the essences, herbs, fruits and spontaneous aromas are those located in the most pristine areas of the countryside . Wines and marc for spirits and grappas are self produced or selected from trusted producers. Finally the discontinuous stills and the rest times that are left to the products before being put on the market do the rest.

Anima sarda, Wild fennel liqueur - Distillerie Lussurgesi - Sardinian food

Liqueur obtained from the alcoholic maceration of the flowering tops and a tender part of the wild fennel plant present in its natural state in all the sunny areas of the Sardinian countryside and hills. The harvest, in the countryside surrounding the territory of Santu Lussurgiu, takes place in the summer period, when the plant reaches flowering.

Color: straw green; intense aroma. Fresh taste, with a pleasant and characteristic aroma of anise given by the anolo of which the wild fennel is rich, favors digestion and is ideal to serve after a rich and substantial meal.

Fennel ownership and curiosity: the "Phoeniculum vulgare", is a perennial herbaceous plant to which since ancient times medical virtues were attributed: Pliny considered it a protection against the venom of snakes and a good system to sharpen sight.
